For many of us there is so much more to drinking a glass or two of red or white.  This is where wine of the month clubs come into play.  By joining a group such as these you will not only have the opportunity to try different red or white beverages but you will also learn about many things.

For example, you will learn all about the different grape varieties and which type make which wines.  You will also learn about taste, smell and color.  All of these play a big role in being a connoisseur of this hobby.  By joining a group of this type you will also be able to experience beverages from all around the world.

Now, of course this can also be achieved by just going to tastings at bars and wineries but who always has the time to be traveling all over the countryside to experience this?  Many of these groups can be found online and you pay a membership fee.  Usually you receive a newsletter plus different bottles of red or white monthly.  All groups differ in their membership fees and what they have on offer so look around first and do some comparisons before joining up with any.

There are groups that also operate on a fee membership format that actually meet up in person every month.  If you are someone who likes that personal touch then this option will be good for you.  Meeting up with like-minded people is a great idea as you can share your opinions about your hobby while socializing and tasting new beverages.  These groups are harder to find but they are out there.

Another option is to start a group up yourself.  For me this would be too much hard work but I am sure there are some of you out there that would find this idea a wonderful challenge.  What ever way you do it, I am sure you will find that wine of the month clubs are really a fabulous opportunity to not only try new tastes but to learn as you go.
